Privacy policy
This explains what RocketJob collects when you use this site, why, who else sees it, and what you can ask us to do about it. It covers rocketjob.ai. The client portal has its own terms you agree to when you become a client.

What we collect when you fill in the form
The application form on this site asks for your first and last name, email address, mobile number, current base salary, and optionally your LinkedIn URL and a short description of the biggest hurdle in your search. You choose what to put in the optional fields.
We also record the consent you give on that form, the date and time, and the IP address the submission came from. The IP address is used to rate-limit the form so it cannot be abused, and to evidence your consent.
- Name, email address and mobile number
- Current base salary
- LinkedIn URL and your description of your situation, if you provide them
- How you arrived: campaign parameters, the page you landed on, and the referring site
- Your IP address and the time you submitted

Why we collect it
To contact you about your job search and to work out whether what we do is a fit for where you are. The salary question exists because our managed service is not appropriate below a certain level, and we would rather tell you that quickly than waste your time.
The lawful basis is your consent, which you give on the form and can withdraw at any time, and our legitimate interest in responding to an enquiry you started.

What happens to your LinkedIn URL
If you give us a LinkedIn URL, we fetch the public information on that profile through a third-party service so that a person is not re-typing your history before speaking to you.
That profile information is then passed to an AI language model, operated by OpenAI, which suggests the job titles you are likely to be targeting. A person reviews those suggestions. We do not use the model to make any decision about you, and the suggestions only ever prefill a field a human can change.
If you would rather none of that happened, leave the LinkedIn field blank. It is optional and nothing else on the form depends on it.

Who else sees it
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for anyone else's advertising.
We do use service providers who process it on our behalf, under contract and only on our instructions:
- Railway, which hosts our application and database
- Apify, which retrieves public LinkedIn profile information
- OpenAI, which suggests target job titles from that profile information
- Resend, which delivers our email
- GoHighLevel, our customer relationship system
- Google, for site analytics (Google Analytics) and advertising conversion measurement (Google Ads)

Analytics and cookies
We use Google Analytics to understand how this site is used: which pages are read, where visitors come from, and whether the enquiry form is completed. It sets cookies in your browser so that a return visit is recognised as the same browser. We do not enable Google Signals or share this data for anyone else's advertising.
We advertise on Google. When you arrive from one of our ads and later send us an enquiry, Google Ads conversion tracking records that the ad led to an enquiry, using a Google cookie set when you clicked the ad. This tells us which ads work; it does not give Google your name or anything you typed into the form.
You can block or clear these cookies in your browser settings, or install Google's opt-out browser add-on, and the site works the same without them.

How long we keep it
We keep enquiry records for as long as we may reasonably need them to deal with your enquiry and to meet our legal and accounting obligations, and then we delete them. If you ask us to delete your information sooner, we will, unless we are required to keep it.

Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or withdraw your consent. If you are in the UK or the EEA you also have the right to object to processing and to complain to your data protection authority. If you are in California you have the right to know, delete, correct, and to opt out of any sale or sharing; we do not sell or share your information as those terms are defined.
To exercise any of this, email hello@rocketjob.ai and say what you would like us to do. We will not charge you or treat you differently for asking.
