Why smart students get stuck

It's not you. The entry-level game changed.

Good grades and a decent resume used to be enough. Here's what's actually in your way, and what we do about each one.

01

Your application is one of hundreds

The Class of 2026 sent 23 applications for every full-time job on Handshake, double the Class of 2023.1 A generic college resume gets filtered out before a person ever reads it.

Our fix: Career Visioning builds your resume around your dream role. Every application is tailored to the posting and scored before it goes out.

02

"Entry-level" now asks for experience

77% of recent grads say employers want too much experience for entry-level jobs, and about 1 in 3 say a lack of experience takes them out of the running.2

Our fix: We translate class projects, campus jobs, clubs and internships into the language hiring managers screen for. Every line stays true and you can defend it in the interview.

03

You don't know who to talk to

Everyone says "network." Nobody tells you which alum to message, which recruiter matters, or what to write so they actually reply. So most students send nothing, or send the same note to everyone.

Our fix: Our software maps your connections to companies that are hiring, flags the people worth contacting, and drafts what to say.

04

Nobody taught you to interview

One mock interview at the career center doesn't prepare you for a superday, a case round, or a hiring manager who asks why you, not the other 200 applicants.

Our fix: Ignite courses plus a prep playbook for each company: likely questions, talking points, and how to close.

05

You think it's too late

Big internship programs recruit months ahead, so it's easy to assume the door has closed. It usually hasn't. You just need to move faster and smarter than everyone else.

Our fix: A rising 3L law student came to us late, in June, with nothing lined up. He had a job in 30 days.

06

Settling gets expensive

42% of recent grads work jobs that don't need their degree.3 Nearly half of new grads start out underemployed, and that first job shapes what comes next.4

Our fix: We aim you at the role you want and keep your pipeline full, so you pick between offers instead of grabbing the first one.

Career Visioning + applications

A resume aimed at your dream role

We build your story around where you want to go, then send tailored applications under your name so your pipeline stays full while you network.

Networking software

Networking without the awkward guessing.

Most students never hear back because they message the wrong people with the wrong ask. RocketJob does the homework so you just hit send.

  • Finds your warm doors. Alumni, club connections and second-degree contacts at companies with open roles.
  • Ranks who matters. The person on the team you want beats a random VP every time.
  • Writes the first message. Short, specific and easy to say yes to.
  • Watches your target companies. When a role opens where you have a contact, you hear about it first.

The RocketJob guarantee

We guarantee interviews. Nobody else does that.

Career centers give advice. Resume writers hand you a document. Job boards take your application and go quiet. We connect you with the right people, prepare you, and put you in interviews. Then we stand behind it.

  • Guided networking: who to contact and what to say
  • One plan with clear to-dos and weekly progress
  • Detailed guides for every interview round
  • Tailored applications that keep your pipeline full
The guarantee applies to the paid guaranteed-interview service. Interview count, timing and terms are agreed before you enroll.

Questions

Fair questions, straight answers.

I don't have much experience. Can you still help?

Yes. That's most of our students. We find the experience you already have in classes, projects, campus jobs, clubs and internships, and present it in the language employers screen for. We never invent anything. You'll be able to back up every line in an interview.

Are applications really submitted for me?

Yes. We find roles, score them for fit, tailor your resume and cover letter, and submit them under your name and contact details. Every submission appears in your portal the same day, with the exact resume version we sent.

What do I have to do?

Follow your to-do list. Reach out to the people we flag using the openers we draft, follow up when we prompt you, rate the roles we find, and prep with your interview guides. We handle the research, tailoring and submitting so your time goes into conversations, not admin.

How does the interview guarantee work?

Interviews are guaranteed with our paid guaranteed-interview service. The number of interviews, the timing and the terms are agreed with you before you enroll, based on your target roles.

Is coaching included?

Every student gets detailed guides for each interview round, from first screen to final round. One-on-one coaching and Ignite courses are optional add-ons you can choose at any point.

What does it cost?

Plans are billed weekly based on how many applications you need, and you can pause or cancel any week. We confirm your plan and price on a short call. Ignite courses are $199 each or $299 for all three.

Can my parents pay for it?

Many do. We built a page just for them. It stays your search, your portal and your decisions.
